Dat zijn wel erg veel nieuwe minifigs, lijkt me onwaarschijnlijk. Uit de tekst op minifigures.co.uk kan ik niet goed opmaken of die sets de fantasie van de schrijver zijn of dat ze gebaseerd zijn op geruchten.

Claims from a Danish newspaper website DR.dk that LEGO is seeking to acquire a license for the hit TV cartoon The Simpson’s seems to be true. LEGO’s marketing director Mads Nipper, confirms that they are negotiating with 20th Century Fox Television, but cannot confirm if an agreement has been made. If they do agree then I would image The Simpson’s would become a licenced theme for 2014.

I have mixed reservations about this idea. Initially I thought it was a great idea as The Simpson’s would fit in the world of LEGO due to their yellow heads and there could be many iconic sets. The couch, their house, the Kwik-E-Mart, Springfield Mall, Krusty Burger and Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. With a huge array of characters we would all love to see Bart Simpson, Homer Simpson, Lisa Simpson, Maggie Simpson, Marge Simpson, Charles Montgomery Burns, Ned Flanders, Krusty the Clown‎, Milhouse Van Houten, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, Itchy and Scratchy to name but a few.

However The Simpson’s does tread a fine line of humour and vulgarity and the cartoon series has always been aimed at an audience that doesn’t have much in common with LEGO’s typical age range. Will LEGO create a Moe’s Bar and will their be Duff Beer LEGO pieces? I think not, and I am sure the sets we get will all be politically correct!

Mee eens. Het artikel zegt eerst dat het nog niet duidelijk is of Lego en FOX al een deal gesloten hebben en komt daarna met een lijst van sets die waarschijnlijk in 2014 uit gaan komen. Dat lijkt me dan toch op zijn minst voorbarig als er nog geen deal gesloten is...

Of het artikel is onduidelijk geschreven, of ik heb het niet goed begrepen, vermoed ik...

Volgens mij is het een verhaaltje over wat de schrijver graag wil zien.
Ik heb zelfs ernstige twijfels over de afbeelding.

Op de afbeelding staat ook "LEGO project". Het lijkt me niet dat lego dit zelf zo doet. En horen Bart en Lisa geen kleine beentjes te hebben?

Laten we in ieder geval hopen dat het echte minifigs worden en geen Friends/Belville/Fabuland-achtige meuk wordt. Ik vrees het ergste want de personages uit het Simpsons universum zijn, Homer en Barney uitgezonderd, allemaal slank. Het kan wél als Fox zou toestaan om personages super-deformed te laten zijn.

Een Homer-minifig zou eigenlijk een speciale torso moeten krijgen met een uitstekende (Duff) bierbuik

Ik ben vooral benieuwd of de Simpsons neuzen gaan hebben; die hebben minifigs normaliter niet...

Maggie als een micro fig
En Marge een custom hair piece, die zijn tegenwoordig ook makkelijk te maken

Nerdly claims to have a 'scoop' on new information about The Simpsons sets:

"LEGO is set to release (much like the Olympic minifigures) a complete wave of blind-bag minifigures (series 13 to be precise), with 16 Simpsons characters to collect – including Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Apu, Chief Wiggum, Moe, Itchy and Scratchy and many more of the show’s iconic characters – which will be launched May 2014.

"And despite a list of proposed LEGO sets hitting the likes of Brickset and Bricks & Bloks, we can confirm that the *only* LEGO set to be launched in the first quarter of 2014 in the UK will be the Simpsons House, which is set to be made available direct to consumers (via the LEGO website and LEGO stores) in April 2014.

"On top of that, this new LEGO range will also be supported by a special Simpsons LEGO TV episode (much like the LEGO Star Wars specials) in May 2014!"

So, I guess that means that the possible set list is either not correct, or won't all be available in all markets.

Lijken mij neppers.
Hoofdjes zouden van andere figuurtjes kunnen komen of gemaakt kunnen zijn met klei.
Broek van Homer is een standaard broekje, volgens mij van een CMF.
Shirt/jas van Ned is voorzien van gele armen maar heeft een fleshcolor kraag.

Volgens mij zijn ze nep. Ik vind de hoofden in elk geval te groot in verhouding met de rest van het lichaam. The Simpsons hebben op tv ook geen XL-hoofd...
Als ze bij Disney Toy Story de hoofden in een mooie verhouding konden namaken, dan zullen ze dat bij The Simpsons ook wel beter kunnen dan dit.

Ik loop er nu niet echt warm voor.
Wat mij vooral in de weg zit is dat de verhoudingen van hoofd en minifig lijf totaal weg is. De hoofden zijn veel te groot.
Laten we hopen dat dit toch nog prototypes zijn...

De hoofden zijn net zo groot als dat Woody hoofd. En het is een cartoon, dus wat onrealistische verhoudingen kan best. Zal ook afhangen van wat voor lijfje en benen er onder komen.

Thanks to Carlos S from Eurobricks, we have our first look at The Simpsons House (71006)! This 2500+ piece set comes with the entire Simpsons family (Bart, Homer, Marge, Maggie, Lisa) along with Ned Flanders! This is probably the only Simpsons building set so it’s great to get a complete set of minifigures.

Dat ziet er goed uit, maar 2500 onderdelen. Auch dat wordt vermoedelijk aardig dure set.

De minifigs zijn niet perfect, maar met deze set ben je wel in een keer klaar. Je hebt ze gelijk allemaal.

2523 stenen is wel behoorlijk veel hoor. De 10212-1: Imperial Shuttle heeft er 2503 en die koste 260 dollar.

Ik weet niet of ik dat wel over heb voor een paar teleurstellende minifigs en een niet heel bijzondere berg Tan...
